Which Facial Fits Your Skin at Heaven Scent

The facial menu, sorted by what it's actually for

Heaven Scent runs eight different facials, plus four shorter add-on treatments, and the names alone don't always tell you which one is built for your skin. Here's what's actually in each one, straight from the menu at 601 San Benito St, so you can book the right treatment instead of guessing.

Teen Facial

The Teen Facial is built for problem skin and starts with a deep purifying cleanse, extractions, a pressure point massage and a purifying mask. It's recommended every three weeks, and you leave with a small cleanser to take home. It runs 45 minutes for $95, or a longer 90 minute version for $190.

Men's Facial

The Men's Facial opens with hot steamy towels around the face and neck to soften beard bristles and help clear congested pores, followed by a cleansing wash, acupressure points, lymphatic drainage, a shoulder and scalp massage with a day mask, and a protective moisturizer to finish. It's 60 minutes for $115.

Back Facial Treatment

Not every facial is about the face. The Back Facial Treatment is a deep cleansing of the back to remove excess oil and debris, followed by an exfoliation (with extractions if necessary), then a stress relieving finish with essential oils and a customized masque. It runs 45 minutes for $95.

European Deep Cleansing and Aromatherapy

The European Deep Cleansing Facial begins with a deep cleansing and a gentle enzyme peel to reveal smooth glowing skin, with a face, neck and shoulder massage and reflexology of the hands. It is $105. The Aromatherapy Facial adds an aromatherapy pressure point massage meant to stimulate blood circulation, along with a customized masque, hand reflexology and a moisturizing finish. It runs 60 minutes for $125.

Oxygen Rich, Diamond Tome and Skin Needling

Three treatments on the facial menu go further than the rest. The Oxygen Rich Facial combines oxygen, vitamins and a hyaluronic serum for hydration, and the menu calls it ideal before a special event or for jetlag, at 45 minutes for $135. Diamond Tome uses a diamond tip instead of crystals to exfoliate the surface layers of skin, at 60 minutes for $170. Skin Needling, listed as great for acne scars and for aged and sun damaged skin, is 60 minutes for $200.

Add-on treatments

The menu also lists four Service Treatments, described as add-ons.

How often to come back

The menu gives one stated frequency: the Teen Facial is recommended every three weeks. No schedule is published for the others, so ask when you call.

Sensitive or acne-prone skin

The Vitamin C Pumpkin Peel is described on the menu as good for sensitive skin, and the Glycolic Special Treatment as good for acne prone skin. If you have a particular concern, call the spa and ask before you book.
